Product Review: 2023 Merida eOne-Forty 400 Electric Mountain Bike.

The 2023 Merida eOne-Sixty is the headline grabber of the Merida ebike range; the eOne-Forty shares exactly the same frame and design features but has different ride characteristics.

The shock stroke on the eone-forty is shorter, reducing rear travel to 133mm and creating a steeper seat angle. The shorter 140mm fork extends the reach, delivering a slightly steeper head angle.

As someone who has had the opportunity to ride and test out this bike, I can confidently say that it is one of the best electric mountain bikes on the market today.

One of the standout features of the eOne-Forty 400 is its powerful and efficient electric motor in the shape of the Shimano ep8 85nm motor and bigger 630wh battery (with the exception of frame size - s which uses 504wh). The motor is also very responsive, providing a smooth and natural-feeling assist that makes it easy to climb up and over obstacles on the trail.
